Creating music that inspires and motivates
“Music is what feelings sound like” is a quote Christopher Green feels is a summary of his loving relationship with Music. Born in Minneapolis, MN, then moving to the Motown suburb of Pontiac, MI in the late 80’s, Chris has constantly been surrounded by music. Whether listening to his Parents harmonize together in the car or observing the music of his Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, music has always been a major force in his life. At 9, Chris’ passion for this art began to take root as he began playing guitar in church. His nurturing environment throughout life allowed his passion to blossom into many opportunities. These have come in many forms, from recording in studio sessions, playing for choirs, jazz trio’s and quartets, to assisting on movie scores and a plethora of other great learning experiences.
Chris’ foundation is a blend of sounds that are rooted in the blues-jazz style of his father Raymond Green, his uncles, and the many other talented musicians he grew up with. In addition, he has been heavily influenced by such greats as George Benson, Donny Hathaway, Grant Green, Prince, D’Angelo, and Outkast.
These days Chris can be found playing in the Dallas-Fort Worth based band Classic Avenue, church services, or the occasional jam session. He has recently received his BS in Music Production at Full Sail University and has used this knowledge to assist others on future projects and also to complete his recently released debut album “The Blue Glove” .
